Jeff Hunt assists clients in protecting and leveraging Intellectual Property (IP) assets to support their business strategies. Jeff, who is Of Counsel to the Firm, draws upon more than 20 years of experience advising clients in IP matters including trademarks, patents, trade secrets, copyrights, technology licensing, IP due diligence, and resolving intellectual property disputes. Jeff advises clients in designing and implementing IP strategies that fit both their present circumstances and objectives. Much of his work involves preparing and prosecuting applications for patents and trademarks. Where it is advantageous, Jeff advises on IP issues that arise in litigation matters.

In addition to many years in private practice, Jeff draws upon experience as an executive in the business of licensing technologies. Before co-founding Austin law firm HPKD in 2016, Jeff practiced in the Texas-based litigation boutique, Moore Landrey LLP for several years, and earlier earned his stripes with Michael, Best & Friedrich.

Jeff assists entrepreneurs, tech companies, investors, and inventors with legal strategies for protecting technologies and brands from unauthorized use and copying.
