Paula Schmitz represents venture backed and privately funded companies in the full range of corporate transactions with an emphasis on funding transactions and workouts. She has extensive experience as in house counsel to small and medium sized companies across a wide breadth of transactions both debt and equity offerings, general securities law, general corporate matters, regulatory law, and the management of intellectual property/patent portfolios (including litigation management defending trade secrets and patents). She has CEO experience in corporate turnarounds and workouts. Her venture capital experience covers the full range of transactions, multiple rounds of equity financings, recapitalizations, venture debt and exit transactions for both company and venture fund clients.
Prior to joining Hajjar Peters LLP, Ms. Schmitz was president/CEO of a $22 million annual revenue consumer product/ technology company in Houston, Texas, and prior to that in her practice of law, Ms. Schmitz represented a portfolio of venture backed and privately funded companies for all their corporate and securities law matters.
